Dareicy Gómez Quintero Ruta:893182 Perspective

WHAT IS PERSPECTIVE ?

Perspective drawing is a system of representing the way that objects appear to get smaller and closer together, the further away they are.

What Does Perspective Look Like?

Imagine driving along a very straight open road on a grassy plain - the road, the fences and power-poles all diminishing towards a single spot far ahead of you. That's single-point perspective. Single- or one-point perspective
is a simplest method of making objects look three-dimensional. It is often used for interior views or trompe l'oeil (trick-the-eye) effects. Objects must be placed to that the front sides are parallel to the picture plane, with the side edges receding to a single point. Take a look at Da Vinci's Study for Adoration of the Magi to see the effect. (notice how the building is placed so that it faces the viewer, with the stairs and side walls diminishing towards a single point in the center.)

WHAT IS SKETCH?

When we are talking about art, a sketch usually refers to a quick, informal drawing, usually done from life. A sketch captures the essentials of the subject - the overall form and perspective, a sense of volume, movement and feeling; sometimes a suggestion of light and shade. A sketch should not be labored or overworked.
A sketch may be created in any medium, though pencil is the most common.
Sketches are often done in ink or charcoal too.
Sketches are often part of the preparation for a more developed drawing or painting, llowing he artist to rough out their ideas and plan the finished piece before embarking on a more precise work, sometimes with several small thumbnail sketches on a single page being used to explore composition. It may be this practice that has led to 'Sketches' becoming the name for the layouts used for album pages in the popular hobby of photo scrapbooking.

Daniel Esteban Velez Monsalve Ruta:893182 FLEXOGRAPHY

WHAT IS FLEXOGRAPHY?

Frequently used for printing on plastic, foil, acetate film, brown paper, and other materials used in packaging, flexography or flexographic printing uses flexible printing plates made of rubber or plastic. The inked plates with a slightly raised image are rotated on a cylinder which transfers the image to the substrate. Flexography uses fast-drying inks, is a high-speed print process,
can print on many types of absorbent and non-absorbent materials, and can print continuous patterns (such as for giftwrap and wallpaper).
Some typical applications for flexography are paper and plastic bags, milk cartons, disposable cups, and candy bar wrappers. Flexography printing may also be used for envelopes, labels, and newspapers.

Sketch
Sketch (Italian sketch), sketch (the Italian spezzare), sketch (forest), eraser (delete) or point (point or tip) are pictorial terms for the project, or trace evidence first; which is performed prior to the final work. In one sketch the outlines and details are not defined, but hinted schematically (sketched, sketched or outlined). Although one can point to any differential nuance between "sketch" and "outline" there in general use a strict conceptual difference between any of these terms, either between themselves or with others like "sketch" and "study", or the Very little used "A sketch" which is often used directly with Italian, French or English word schizzo, esquisse or sketch (the latter also appoints a brief skit).
The sketchy style expression used to refer to painters whose work, only apparently, has an aspect of implementation "easy", "fast" and "not finished" ("imperfect" -non finite or "aesthetic of the unfinished" - ), predominantly gestures and loose brush, also called "impressionist". In contrast, the works in which the artist insists on a neat and polished finish (fini, "finished", "perfect") of the details are generally described as "academic" execution or "precious" (when not pompier or kitsch , pejorative terms).

PNG

(PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics, pronounced "ping") is a graphics format based on a lossless compression algorithm not subject to patent bitmaps. This format was developed in large part to address the weaknesses of the GIF format and can store images with a greater depth of contrast and other important information.

The motivations for creating the PNG format were generated in 1995, after the company announced it would enforce Unisys patent software LZW compression algorithm used by the GIF data (US Patent 4,558,302 and others in the rest of the world). There were other problems with the GIF format changes were desirable, for example its limitation to 8-bit palette 256 colors when computers and endured thousands or millions of colors.
Originally PNG was a recursive acronym is not meant GIF PNG (PNG's Not GIF), referring to the tradition of recursive acronym for GNU. Although GIF supports animation, PNG was developed as a static image format and MNG format was created as its animated version.
The PNG gained greater popularity in August 1999 when Unisys ended its policy of free patent license rights for developers of free or commercial software.

                                                         silkscreen:

Is a printing technique that involves passing the ink through a template or also

called mesh serving masking frame attached to a tensioned in a frame. Employed in the method

reproduction of documents and images on any material and consists of transferring ink through

gauze stretched on a frame, the ink passage is blocked in areas where there is no image using a

emulsion or varnish, leaving free the area where the ink will. The printing system is repetitive, that is,

once the first model has been achieved, printing may be repeated hundreds and even thousands of times without

losing definition. Printing technique widely used in advertising...
Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A fill blade or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink through the mesh openings to wet the substrate during the squeegee stroke. Basically, it is the process of using a mesh-based stencil to apply ink onto a substrate, whether it be T-shirts, posters, stickers, vinyl, wood, or other material.
Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. As the screen rebounds away from the substrate the ink remains on the substrate. It is also known as silk-screen,screen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing. One color is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design.
