GRAPHIC ARTS

It is set of trades or professions procedures involved in performing the graph, editorial or sculpting process.





The term includes occupations such as graphic design, media and the various systems of printing, binding and finishing. The main printing systems are: Web offset, screen printing, flexography, elhuecograbado, letterpress printing and digital printing.
 The encuadernacióny finishes include cuts, pleats, folds the preperforated and the substrate (paper or other), among others. Graphic arts are currently used as a means of disseminating publicity.














MACHO OR DUMMY
This is a final prototype of the magazine with folds and final cuts that will contain, so the printer can determine which pages belong to the same sheet of paper, thus speeding, cheaper and is more accurate printing work. This page order is called a "printer spreads".
In advertising terms, the macho is used to show a client what the final look of a publication in terms of size, design and final composition.
The macho is listed as part of the design work of the publication that is being presented to the client and its appearance should be as close to a final print.

VARNISH
The varnish forms a film on the surface on which it is applied which is comparable to the laminating process. Unlike other coatings which are dried by the evaporation of some components or penetration of these, particularly the varnish film is formed by chemical bonding mechanism.
The irradiation process is completed in very short periods, sometimes in fractions of a second.
The liquid varnish is extremely sticky and smelly. . It is necessary to submit the varnish to a process of sedation to give gloss that characterizes it.



The varnish is typically used in the graphic arts and allowing bright and elegant finishes on surfaces where it is applied.
Furthermore, the varnish has a number of advantages, among which are:

- Resistant to water, grease and dirt
- Protects better surfaces
- The process of UV irradiation is extremely fast
